Whatever you do do not REJECT your child.
This is the time when you have to be strong and LEARN TO LISTEN to your child.

STEP 1 ASK THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS

1. DO YO REALISE YO HAVE A PROBLEM  (WITH DRUGS OR WHATEVER SUBSTANCE)? - If they say NO you will be wasting your time to try and persuade them that it is bad for them. You need to inform your child that their substance abuse does not carry your approval and as such you cannot accommodate that in your house so they have to LEAVE. This brings about the first shock that you actally mean what you are saying.Your children are used to the fact that you THREATEN them. This time around DO IT.
2. DO YO NEED HELP ? Again if the answer is NO follow the presceeding.
3. ARE YO PREPARED TO GIVE JESUS CHRIST A CHANCE IN YOR LIFE If the answer is NO follow the preceeding.
   Only if the answer to ALL THREE these qestions are an unwaivering YES Can you go on to STEP 2.

STEP 2 Contact various rehabs and centres and find the place where you feel comfortable with your child .Give the name and number of the place and the person to your child and let THEM phone to make arrangements for THEM to attend the institution.
 

STEP 3 FINANCIALLY it is going to cost you, so prepare yourself and ask friends and your church to support you in getting the finance together.
 

STEP 4 Get him to the place ASAP.

KEEP THE DREAM OFFERS THE FOLLOWING :

There are no short term solution to drug addiction - our min period is 3 months but we do it on a monthly basis
Each student will react different Some need a plaster others need an operation.
 

Our fees are affordable and payable on a monthly basis 30 days in advance.
 

RECOVERY of the body is important and as such rest is vitally important to us.

RESTORATION of the individaul and family is our second objective.

REINTIGRATION back into society through either career path or entreprenerial skills.

AFTER CARE FOR LIFE never will this individual be alone again.

• We are not a REHABILITATION CENTER but a RESTORATION center
• We are not a CRECHE
• We are not a CORRECTIONAL SERVICES to keep your children locked up
• We are not a Sector of the SAPDservices to catch your children if we can
• We do not have "patients" we have students
• We do not have "programs"we have process's
• We do not have "rules" we have directions
• We do not have numbers we have people with individual needs gifts skills and talents

NOTE TO PARENTS

You must weane your boys in order for them to become men

It is tough to change the character that comes with the Drug and Alcohol gangster culture

You will have to commit NOT to take your children back into your home for the duration that we agree upon , as most of the children do not want to stay because they are confronted with themselves ,and want to leave the facility. Should they leave the facility ,they have to stay outside for  for two nights ,but if they use whilst outside they are susspended indefenite .

COMMENT

After 13 years in the field of RESTORING  young ADULTS , the following must be in place :

1. THEY must WANT to RECOVER
2. Their money supply must be cut off to minimums -this is what allowed them to purchase the goods
3. They must complete their commitments and follow it through
